My New Year’s resolution is to visit more public parks and monuments in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area and add to the Google Street View library for these places. I started with a nice small park nearby my house called White Flint Park. It is a very nice hilly park with area for dogs to walk and a playground for kids to play on. Also in the park are 2 tennis courts and 2 basketball courts. On the outskirts are some picnic tables in the event you want to take a snack to the park to eat. In my review I added the hashtags #dogfriendly and #park to help people find it. This is especially useful for those who want to take their furry friends out for some fresh air. **You can visit the park on Google Maps here **and check out the StreetView 360 photos in the photo section to get a better idea on what the park looks like. You can also visit the full interactive virtual tour here.
That is a fantastic initiative @Nick-Hobgood a great contribution to your community that will help people find more parks that will meet their needs. Well done.
This is brilliant @Nick-Hobgood !
What a super cool idea to help others in your community, so thanks for sharing!
Hi @Nick-Hobgood ,
I love the colors on this photo! What editing program did you use if any? What a beautiful park and I can’t believe there is no snow.
Hi @DanniS I use Photomatix and take brackets of varying exposure for HDR treatment. This give the colors that vibrancy. You can still see some snow here.
Lovely photos @Nick-Hobgood ! I wasn’t aware of Photomatix, but I’ll give it a try. I mostly use mobile apps as I’m only taking mobile photos.
Hi @DanniS Yes, I figured that since I was already using a tripod to take 360s, that I might as well take multiple exposures to have HDR as an option when processing the final image. It allows for a lot of control of shadows and highlight areas in the images.
Your wish came true @DanniS Check out the StreetView on Google Maps here.
