Kalvari Mount is almost 14Kms from Cheruthoni Dam. The road is very steep to climb and one has to be very careful. The panoramic view of Idukki dam reservoir from the Kalvari Mount top is just exciting and mind blowing. Do sit under the cupola and admire the majestic views of the waters below and the small islands within. From parking place you can feel that breeze in the month of May where mercury soaring high, one should reach early morning to enjoy the sunrise and the foggy mountains. If anyone would like to stay, there cottages available and the rates are reasonable.
