Gilgit Baltistan is situated at the North of Pakistan and is famous for his mountains, glaciers, lakes and dry fruits, there are two ways/roads to go there one is to follow the old silk route (Shahr-e-Rashim), while the other way is to follow Naran Kaghan road and pass the Babusar Top, both of the routes bisect and become one from the place of Chilas.
both of the roads are well but most of the tourists prefer to follow the Naram Kaghan Road rather than Silk Route due to its hardships, we followed the Silk Route while we are going to Gilgit Baltistan and returned by following the other road.
I am going to share the major clicks of the road along with the destination.
after reaching Gilgit Baltistan one need to propose a plan according to the time that one is interested to stay, because there are a lot of places to visit like
Gilgit City,
Hunza City, Nagar, Rakaposhi View Point
Passu Valley/ Passu Cones, Batura Glaciar View Point, Batura Lake
Atabad, Attabad lake, Attabad Tunnels
different Peaks like golden peak and khunjrab pass (the border between Pakistan and China)
you may touch the Astor Valley and touch Rama lake too.
and you would definitely go to Skardu and visit khaplu.
All you need to do is to have proper fueling in your car, you must have the fuel storage because of the non-availability of fuel stations, you may find some of them in the major cities like gilgit, hunza, skardu etc.
one must have enough warm cloaths and a little stock of food too, rest of the places have no facility of Network, means you cannot call or text anyone due to nonavailability of service.
Google Local Guide program is itself an inspiration for those who have to tour different places, the program opened new doors of opportunities for me to explore places of diverse nature and share my experience in the shape of images, videos, reviews, and remarks. it also enabled me to get response from others pertaining to my efforts, in the form of queries and appreciation, therefore the program means a lot for me.
