A visit in Treviso

To be honest:

Why I should drive back after very beautiful holidays in Italy and make a 2 hours detour with 2 teenies (as well children, but on a more difficult age) and one child ??? Why should I persude my wife to do this as well…

BECAUSE we were invited by a mystic married couple… @ErmesT and @AntonellaGr !!!

We met in the center of Treviso and my daughter took a picture. (Due to privacy, I will never post pictures of them. Sorry  )

It was within one month, that I met the second Connect Moderator, after a nice photo walk in Nürnberg also joined by @LudwigGermany . I mean, compared, that 6 weeks ago I wasn’t aware of this community at all, somehow very special.

@ErmesT is a very friendly virtual moderator, but to meet him in reallity is really interesting. Fantastic person and when their hasn’t been the time issue and the children, we could have discussed the whole night and and and.

My wife and @AntonellaGr discussed about the passion of their husbands… And especially when @ErmesT starts to discuss through the topic:

“Earthquake” https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/Italiano/RECAP-36-PHOTOWALK-in-Norcia/m-p/898361 ( @manulele81 ) and

“Clean the World” https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Local-Guides-clean-the-world-A-Local-Guides-project/m-p/704762

my wife starts to understand what power can be behind such a virtual comminity.

But as well the fun is not missing here. We visited the secret places of pleasure in Treviso:

and the plase of inventing the TIRAMIISU…

I will not post anything about this very beautiful town, as a local guide is doing this much better, but I will share one last photo with you.

Maybe the two “gry hair” boys disturb the nice view, but in the middle you can see the powerbanks of @ErmesT and myself!!!

THANK YOU FOR THIS NICE TRIP TO TREVISO!!!

Wuauuuu @TorM

I like it too much!!!

On your holidays you travelled to Treviso!!! My favorite italian city because there are living 2 great Local Guides: @ermest and @AntonellaGr.

I am convinced you had an incredible time together. Ermes and Antonella are warm, funny and love talking :))))

I can imagine Antonella speaking with your wife about the passion you and Ermes feel with this program, jajajaja. This is on of the best things of meeting each other, I can visualize the place, listen their voices, remember their laughs… And this change the way when you make a reply of a post. Is a mix of virtual and real life.

This is a revulsive for continuing with our idea of an European meet-up, what do you think @user_not_found and @Julien44 ?

All of you look very happy in the photos:)))

Good afternoon from the South of Spain,

Alejandra.

So happy that you enjoyed your very short time in Treviso @TorM

It was my own pleasure to meet you and your family. I am so happy that you take a 2 hours detour to visit my small town, to discover a bit of our treasures.

Glad to be able to see a L10 in Action

You already showed Tiramisù, the black treasure, so I will add here the golden one: Prosecco

Hope we will have another opportunity soon, I have heard someone talking about an European Meetup @AlejandraMaria , @user_not_found .

Lets talk about it

@TorM , happy to see you guys were able to meet in person @ErmesT and @AntonellaGr ’s home turf - Treviso. They are very proud of their town and that particular Italian region for obvious reasons - Prosecco and, I did not realize, tiramisu.

@AlejandraMaria , I like the Europe Meetup Idea - why wait for Google to make this happen when you all can take matters to your own hands and create your own continental LG Meetup! You always come up with great meetup ideas.

Cheers,

Karen

I am totally agree with you @KarenVChin that we can create our continental meet-up :)))

We have started to plan it, and as @user_not_found said we are thinking about some Capitals in the Center of Europe easy to flight, like Rome or Berlin…

Now we are: @user_not_found , @Julien44 , @TorM , we add @ErmesT and me.

Perhaps @NatalkaR and @Andras_H could join us too…

Good Afternoon from the South of Spain,

Alejandra.

I am giving life to an old Idea, @AlejandraMaria , when before LGSUMMIT17, in the community we were talking about a meet-up in Austria (let say Vienna or Budapest) adding also @Csaba , and, why not, @KlaudiyaG , @NadyaPN , @GeorgesHR and @MarinSt , and a wine meetup. The last has been done, now we can focus in the first one (even if I am always available for a new edition of the wine Meet-up, this time about Prosecco)

@TraciC , as you can see, I am informing you well in advance, this year

Hi @TorM this is a great topic by the way. Thanks for sharing. It really great to see you guys!

Hey @ErmesT , I actually wouldn’t say no to that. It`s a deal!

Yes, in fact we need to meet.

I personally would prefer Vienna or Bratislava, as it is close to the center of Europe and flight connections are good to Vienna. Vienna will be more difficult to find a good place, so Bratislava (I was their 6 months) is not far away. And is not good covered by Google Maps, but Budapest is one of the view capitals in Europe I never visit, so fine for me as well…

We can write now here in several posts, but maybe we just do it.

Well @user_not_found

I know that @AlejandraMaria would combine The Wine Meet-up with the European Meet-up, drinking prosecco in Treviso Hills. Wine meet-up will be held in any case, don’t worry

Hi guys,

That is great, we are moving forward on the european/continental meet-up idea

I would prefer to go to Rome if I had the choice. In fact, I went to Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava back in 2013 during a estern europ train trip. Anyway, it is not a big deal and I will arrange wherever it will be
