A trip to Symbol of Love

Hello LG and moderator,

Welcome!

To my new post of symbol of love. Why I am calling it a symbol of love because it is built by emperor Shahjahan in the memory of his queen Mumtaz.

Mughals were the ruled in india for a longest period than any ruler of India. In the ruling period, there were era of different emporer starting from Babar to Bahadur shah jafar. Mughal loves architect so they built number of building during their era such as Agra fort, Fatehpur Sikri mosque,Jama masjid, Red fort etc. Taj Mahal is also one of the example of beautiful architect of Mughals. Taj Mahal is built by Fifth emperor of Mughal named Shahjahan. Above all ruler Shahjahan is most interested in Architecture.

Taj Mahal is one of seven wonder of the world. It is built by a special stone named as Sang-e-marmar ( marble or Lime stone today). In history, this stone is considered as the most expensive stone in the world only afford by Kings and rulers. Taj Mahal take a total time of 22 year to complete from foundation to building. It takes 22,000 worker to built this beautiful architect.

The Four minar or four tower around the structure is taken from Hyderabad Charminar and the structure is taken from the Humayun Tomb in Delhi. In front of Taj Mahal, there is four square shape garden and in between them number a small canal of water is flowing. The park built in that way that it prototype or imagination of Jannat or Heaven looks like in real. In the structure the design are made around the Doors and window like structure each design is built by colourful stones. Also, the muslims ayat in arabic is written around the front door of the taj mahal structure. Yamuna river is flowing in the back side of Taj mahal.

Taj mahal is more beautiful in moon light as described by the experts. Moonlight on taj mahal make its structure very shiny and adm

Interesting fact :- Shahjahan loved this building just like he love his wife. He modified his fort or palace in such way that Taj mahal is visible from each and every place he visits or stay. Also, he modified his living area of Fort by the same stone which is used in Taj Mahal so to feel like he is in Taj Mahal. Fort is only at a distance of 2 km from the Taj Mahal.

Freaky or weird fact :- Historians says Shahjahan cut the hands of all worker who built Taj Mahal so they will never built the same structure again for any other king.

Interesting fact 2 - When Shahjahan decided to built Taj Mahal he planned for Two structure ,one White Taj Mahal and another Black taj mahal as a symbol of love and hate. But He spend that much in building Taj Mahal that he is not able to spend for Black Taj mahal. The foundation of black Taj mahal is also there after crossing the Yamuna river.

How to reach :- Taj Mahal is situated in Agra which is 200 approx Kilometers away from Delhi capital of India. So there are number of ways to reach there.

  1. By Train - You can come to Agra by train from New delhi railway station which is cost you around 2-7 USD. And takes maximum 4 hours

  2. By Bus - You can take a direct bus from New delhi to Agra it will cost you around 5-10 USD and it takes almost 5 hours.

  3. By personal taxi or cab - You can also hire taxi or cab from delhi to Agra will cost you around 100 USD for return trip and will take 4 hours.

  4. By Motorbike - This option limited for person have indian driving licence. If you love to riding bike then you can also hire a bike form delhi which is cost you around 30-50 USD. And travel time depends on you.

Tip to be remembered when visiting Taj Mahal.

  1. It is closed on Friday because on that they muslim community perform Namaz in the Mosque situated in premises of Taj mahal.

  2. Reach this place as early as possible. Because this is the most popular place to visit in india it is so crowded and there is long queue on Ticket counters and security check. So arriving early makes your process smooth and fast.

  3. You are not allowed to enter in the White taj mahal structure wearing your shoes or any foot wear so you need to buy footwear cover from shop outside the taj mahal.

Thanks @Sahilmsk2208 for tagging me in your post. I have always loved Taj Mahal since I was a little boy and wish to be there if possible. Your post is so good with lots of details. If only Shahjahan had not cut the hands of all workers who built Taj Mahal, I would have asked them to build one for me. Lol

Hi @Sahilmsk2208

@@Even after being an Indian, I got the opportunity to visit Taj Mahal just last October. I was very thrilled to see this monumental marvel. I must say Taj Mahal did not disappoint me, but I was not very happy with the way the authorized personnel managed this place. I am not sure how foreigners experience this monument because they have separate queues and entrances to the monument, but for me and my family right from the security check to the visit inside the Taj it seemed to be managed poorly and the maintenance was also shabby for such a great structure like Taj which receives millions of tourists every year.

However I must applaud your post, it is great and your captures are great as well just like your last posts.:+1::ok_hand:
