Hey guys, this is Afnan again and I am going to share my experience of trekking Patalkali, a less-known trek situated at SIakunda, Chittagong. From the last one and a half year, I was eagerly looking for trekking this route. I didn’t get the opportunity as very few people know the place. A few days ago I got the opportunity. I didn’t want to miss it.
We started from Dhaka at night and reached Sitakunda in the morning. After having breakfast, we started trekking. After one hour, we left the usual road of Chandranath Temple and started for Patalkali. To make it exciting, we have decided to go through a completely new route.
We were completely lost in the middle and walked depending on the guessing power of the leader. Our plan was- we will go back through the same trail if we don’t find the route by noon. By the grace of Almighty, we found the place by noon. After passing some time there, we started for the locality. This time, we used the regular route. By the evening, we came back to the locality with the experience of an awesome trekking.
The trekking was tough as we took a very new route leaving the regular trekking route of Patalkali. It took almost 7 hours to complete the whole route. It was dangerous, interesting, mind-blowing, eye-soothing and tough. In the case of trekking, it was my best experience. It took almost everything from me and left a tired, exhausted Afnan. But I have loved it. I enjoyed it to the fullest.
Here are some pictures of the incredible route:
