I’m Feroz Kabir From Bangladesh. Google local guide Level-5. I’m passionate about Travel, Mountain treking & Mountaineering. Along with the travel, i work to creat public awareness about cleanliness of the city, pollution in costal areas, especially plastic and non-biodegadeable waste.
I am a volunteer of ocean Conservancy. I was Participated in 7 times beach cleanup programs in Cox’s Bazar and St. Martin’s Island. The main theme of this clean up program is to aware the volunteers about the dire consequences of ocean pollution, plastic and non-biodegradable garbage so that they become aware and develop clean habits in themselves back to their hometowns. Travelers also be aware about ocean pollution to see our cleanup activity.
A few days ago, we along with the friends of Travelers of Bangladesh conducted a cleanliness campaign in Khayachara Water Falls as part of the awareness of local community travelers about not throwing plastic and non-biodegradable garbage anywhere. From there we brought 50+ kg of mineral water bottles, soft drinks bottles, rapers of chips, biscuits and other non-perishables from the Khayachhara Falls.
Recently, I have been working on awareness about plastic on Google Maps. But how? When I review various places with pictures on Google Maps i throw a message at the end "Let’s not throw plastic and non-biodegradable garbage everywhere ". A small message that I want to spread among all.
The reason for posting this on Local Guide Connect is to strengthen awareness among local guides about plastic pollution. Let us reduce the use of plastic products in our daily life and work to create awareness in our respective communities.
Good wishes to all!
