A traditional dish called Rice in Soup made your old memory back

This small shop has a very special type of Rice in Soup. Thirty to forty years ago, this type of Rice in Soup was very popular in small restaurants. As time goes by, they disappear in the menus. One reason might be because they could not be priced high so the restaurants are not interested to offer them. To make this Rice in Soup delicious, the restaurant has to prepare in advance a big volume of delicious soup as the basis of the dish. The customer when ordering this could choose two to three fresh food items like sliced beef, pork and fish. The restaurant would then simply boil these items in the soup and serves with some vegetable. The dish would be served in a big bowl with the delicious soup plus a bowl of steamed Rice. To enjoy this, the customer can either pour the steamed Rice into the big bowl and eat them mixed with soup. Or the other way is simply eat the steamed Rice and sip the soup after a few mouth. Man Hing Kee Restaurant (文興記) uses this Rice Soup as their specialty and uses very fresh and good quality meat to serve the customers. The soup is particular sweat with traditional taste. This Rice Soup is specially popular when the weather is hot when one has no appetite because of heat
