A Tea Break Under the Tall Trees - Melpallam Kodaikanal

As part of the South India trip we went to Kodaikanal, and this is taken on our way back from Kodaikkanal in a place called Melpallam. And here you can see small shops you can stop for a short snacks. So we stopped here for a tea. And when the sun is about to set and the lights pass through the tall trees it makes the place looks so magical.

Incredible shot @Batzee !

What camera did you use for this photo? Have you done any editing to the color? I love the warm yellow orange colors it has. Do you photograph a lot? It would be nice to read about your photography tips and how you prepare for before taking photos.

Thanks again for sharing!

@DanniS Thanks. All my photos are shot on my Samsung Galaxy S7. I prefer phones more than camera as they are bulky. Yes I do use snapseed and instagram to edit and add filters. But this photos is a raw image uploaded from my phone to Google photos. So in my pc I dont have Snapseed and Instagram. So in pc I use adobe photoshop. For this image I did some brightness adjustments a orange shade to make the real shade more visible and then did the gamma correction. Yes may be I can write a small post on how to edit or make the phone taken photos stand out among the other photos. Thanks for the idea Dannis again. Will let you know when once I have written one.

Hi @DanniS today I wrote a post as you suggested in the topic “How to Make Your Mobile Photographs Eye Catching and Vibrant in Simple 3 Steps” but it got marked as spam. Would you be able to help me make it get published?
