As a food lover i always love to try new food items and cuisines, since i am a vegetarian so i always try vegetarian food items. I always prefer spicy snacks over sweets and here in india we don’t have any shortage of varieties of food items and cuisines, especially in my city, aligarh you can find several small food stalls and shops which sell spicy street foods. Yesterday when i was returning from market i was feeling hungry so i stopped at a small indian sweet and snacks centre at achal taal area of my aligarh city. I bought Khasta Kachori, Samosa and Bread Pakora.
These all are famous spicy indian snacks.
First talking about Khasta kachori, these are snacks comprises of two components khasta round shaped deep fried kachoris made from a mixture of whole wheat flour and refined flour filled with spiced and fried overnight soaked urad daal(a type of lentil). Sabji is made from Aaloo(potato), it is in stew form.
The next is samosa which is world famous, made from pyramidal like shapes of refined flour filled with spiced potatoes and then deep fried.
The last is bread pakora which is made by first making a small ball of mashed and spiced potato then covering it with wet bread, then again covering it with gram flour batter. After that they are deep fried in hot oil.
The red tamarind chutney and green coriander chutney is served with both samosa and bread pakora and with some other snacks too.
Tamarind chutney is made by bolinig tamarind in water then filtering the boil water to remove tamarind traces, then sweet like sugar, some spices are added to it to create it sweet and sour taste. Green chutney is made by making a paste of green fresh coriander in a mixer then adding spices and a little sour tanarind water.
I hope you will like them.
