This restaurant’s interior is painted the vibrant green of the Jamaican flag and features decor with an island flavor, including a chart created by the owners and their children that showcases several common Patois sayings. Reggae music, friendly, smiling staff, and the fragrant smells of jerk spices and curry complete the experience. On offer is a variety of Jamaican dishes including roti, curried chicken, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, jerk chicken and pork, beef patties, soup, and a wide selection of Jamaican beverages like Ting and Peanut Punch. YUM! I love Jamaican food, especially plantains. Thanks for sharing!
Jamaican food is completely new to me @AnthonyAloyeO , as I’ve never had the chance to try it, but by the looks of it, it looks really good.
I don’t think it’s very easy to find in Europe but I’ll keep my eyes open.
Do you have a national dish in Jamaica?
Hello @955HIRO
Stewed Chicken is very soft and most of the pieces are boneless which is always great. Yes the seasoning is actually sweet and not spicy at all. Yes, you should try some if you visit, it’s definitely a great experience.
Have a fabulous week. Thanks for the comment.
Absolutely, @AshleySundquist
I love plantains too. I had plantains for breakfast yesterday.
Discovering delicacies around the world is really great.
Thanks for the comment, have a fabulous week.
Jamaican food is terrific @MortenSI
You have to try it.
I’m sure there’s a Jamaican restaurant in your city. Now you can do some research and discover it, because it’s worth it. There are lots of Jamaican restaurants in the United Kingdom. I’m actually not Jamaican, but the national dish of Jamaica is Ackee and salt-fish, made from the local fruit ackee and dried and salted cod (salt-fish). It is often served with bread, Jamaican fried dumplings or roasted breadfruit.
Thanks for the comment, have a great week.
I will begin my search @AnthonyAloyeO , Hopefully I’ll be in luck and find something useful.
I’ll make sure to try this Ackee and salt fish, if I get the chance. Whenever I try food from new countries I want to try the most local dish I can get my hands on, just to make sure I get somewhat authentic experience.
