A Super Comfortable Japanese Cafe

I just found out a super comfortable and recommended cafe to hangout, working, or staying for a longer time when you visit Plaza Indonesia. It is called Lumine Cafe, located on the fifth floor inside Lumine, a Japanese local brand department store. Lumine Cafe provides Japanese bread, healthy bowl, dessert, and beverages. The place is so homy, just like your own house, especially if you dine in at the second floor that consists of one long sofa and table as we did. It feels so exclusive

Lumine Cafe is truly a hidden gem!

Since we already had a lunch, so that we came here for a dessert. We tried Matcha Azuki Shiratama Snowmee (IDR 58,000). It is a soy milk base soft shaved ice called Snowmee, served separately with matcha cream, vanilla ice cream, azuki (sweet red bean paste), shiratama (rice cake balls), and liquid brown sugar. Before mixing all of them, we tried one by one from the snowmee to all the topping. The taste is so PERFECT, less sweet, refreshing especially when you mix all of them. The matcha cream is a little bit bitter because it is the real matcha. Totally recommended and I will be back for sure

Hi @Velvel

Lumine is much famous in Japan, and I didn’t know that Lumine is stored in Jakarta.

Let me know if you had any experience in Lumine!

Hi @YutaE - san

Lumine is still new in Jakarta. They opened here on December 2018.

This was my first time to be here, and I just came to Lumine Cafe by passing the store. I really love the ambiance and food of this cafe.

How about in Japan? Does Lumine has cafe there? And have you tried it?

@Velvel

Actually, I’ve never been to Lumine. Japanese Lumine is famous as a clothing store for women in their 20s and 30s.

Since it is operated by Nippon Railway, Lumine is often in the building adjacent to the station.

Maybe, there are Lumine cafe in Japan. I will try to go there :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for sharing @Velvel , The place looks really good! I think I’m going to save it to the list of places I want to go, and next time I’m back home in Jakarta, I will try it. In the mean time I’m going to let my parents know (they love cafes and good coffee) so they can check this place out!

Hi @Velvel ,

Thanks for sharing!

The place looks super cozy, so I’ve definitely added to my must-visit list. I’ve never seen anything similar like Matcha Azuki Shiratama Snowmee.

Have you left a review on Google Maps?

PS: Please note, that I’ve removed the Indonesian language tab from your post, as it is written in English.
