A story of missing info, sunsets and sunrises...

Hi all,

I’m Andrea, from Basilicata, a southern Italian Region, with a lot of good places to share!

What I really love sharing on Google Maps are pics of public places and food related places. I make a lot of publications every time I travel around Europe. I like to do that because when I search about public places info, I always find useful info and pics about, published by other Google Maps users, and I really like doing the same for other Google Maps users that might need info about a place I’ve visited. Moreover, I like completing or adding useful info on pubs, restaurants, public gardens, metro and bus stops, public libraries, museums…adding missing info like tickets costs, opening time, and so on.

I don’t like to appear only as a “missing places info dispenser”, but these info sharing on Google Maps platform is something really unique and extremely useful.

Let me tell you what happened to me: two years ago, I was in Vienna and wanted to visit the Natural History Museum. It was a decision at the time, and totally unplanned. I was already in the city, and I needed to understand the opening hours to the public. I searched for this info on the website, but it was not easy to consult it, so I searched for the site on Google Maps (link) and I quickly found everything I needed. Awesome! In this way I’ve been able to visit a great place. Have a look at these pics ?

Since that day, I realized that it would have been great if I could have started to help this huge community in this way. Here some pics of that moment: Naturhistorisches Museum.

And finally, I deeply love sunsets and sunrises. I like to share them as interesting sights on Google Maps, because I think that there is not real beauty if not shared with who can appreciate it. In other words, something that I can feel as good can be even better if shared with someone that feels the same. Here is what I’m talking about…

Here a little album collection: Sunsets, sunrises and sights.

I hope to be able to share and exchange all my points of view, feelings and feedbacks in the next Local Guides Connect Event, I can’t wait to talk with other people that love what I love.

Ciao ?
