On saturday 26 October, the eve to the conclusion of my holiday in Houston Texas, the day was loaded…i got into my rented vehicle on what was a glorious sunny day…i knew the day was loaded. Got into my hired jeep and headed to Galveston Beach. What a joy to have Google map navigating the way, at that moment i thought what happened before google map. How would i have navigated the roads of houston…the highway in itself is a beast with 8 lanes…Got to Galveston and i looked at the expanse of the ocean, it was scanty…i managed to park right in front of the seaside (this is never possible in england) capturing each moment on camera. After 20 mins, it was time to head to NASA Space Centre. Its been on my bucket list from a while…i have been fascinated with rocket launches, missions to the moon, mars, etc and even thought if should i have to rewind time, i would be an astronaut or space engineer. So with much excitement, i drove to the museum, i was startled about how massive it was. The history of the different space shuttles and the tour to the mission control centre were 2 highlights of the visit. Seeing the bikes and knowing that this bikes were used by the employees to get round the massive site. Also the plaque of those astronauts that died during their mission situated under an oak tree. This visit was so funpacked, very eventful and thanks to my smartphone i keep on clicking to.capture every moment & to share with the world. After 2 hours, i left for Lakewood church, my 1st visit after watching online for nearly a decade. I was excited to be seeing live what i had since online, the worship team and one of my favourite pastors, Joel Osteen, wow…and there was an added bonus, Pastor Joseph Prince was the visiting preacher from Singapore that weekend. That was the icing on the cake, a wonderful climax to the day. The sound of the music was such that I had never heard before - was simply heaven on earth. I looked around the church, it was massive and packed however there was this sense of you being the only one there. It was magical. I thought about heaven and wondered if anything could beat this experience. Got home at 10pm and it was time to pack up, i had a flight to catch…mission accomplished. Home sweet home - time to return to England - i was dreading the cold.
