Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate the Connect moderators for the great work they’re doing, particularly based on an experience I had with my last post. In that post, I mentioned that a photo I’d uploaded to Google Maps from a while back in Canada had been recognized by Maps for reaching 50 likes, which really surprised me!
Among the replies I received, one of the Connect moderators, @MortenCopenhagen , asked me about the photo’s location after congratulating me on the milestone. It turned out the name Oakville appeared instead of the church’s name. Thanks to his input, I was able to verify that I had indeed uploaded it to Google Maps with the city’s name (which, Morten informed me, is prohibited according to Maps policies).
I will get the photo removed and re-uploaded it with the correct location tag. (in fact there is one more photo with the same issue!).
Thank you, Morten, for your proactivity as a Moderator! This kind of engagement truly helps us, as a Connect community, improve not only our integration but also our knowledge of Google Maps’ guidelines. Now, it’s our turn to keep collaborating and teaching others everything we’ve learned!
Have a great day!
