A sad river.

Several years ago in a place called El Salto and Juanacatlán in Jalisco, Mexico, there was a waterfall that was known as “Mexican Niagara”, its name is the Río Santiago, which thanks to the contamination of the industries have been responsible for killing it little by little, in this site There is no longer life, but death, there are no fish, the water is completely contaminated and its toxic effects have affected the lives of the inhabitants of this place. Normally we concentrate on beautiful places to visit, however, it is also important to publicize the places that we have been finishing by the hand of man and now there are only memories of what was once a river of life.

It a sad story about your Rio Santiago.

I just want to share that it happen with Ciliwung river in my home town.

Now it getting cleaner and the Major of Bogor is taking charge to maintain the environment of Ciliwung river.

But it took more than ten years @RiverDefender and his community Komunitas Peduli Ciliwung to shout out and clean up the Ciliwung river to get the attention. You should contact him to get his opinion about your sad river.

Thank you very much for your comment, I find it encouraging that elsewhere they have managed to improve the conditions of their rivers. Without a doubt I am going to review the experience of your hometown and contact @RiverDefender to know how they have done to solve that terrible problem and find a way to apply it here in Mexico, I send you my regards.
