Regardless, my several contributions with comments, videos and photographs with thousands of views, I guess the most significant and interesting thing I´ve done as a Local Guide was adding nine public departments of Rio de Janeiro´s Prefecture (local government), spread all over the city and where, in one of them, I work. More than 6,000 people saw them! That’s why I hope I have helped some budding entrepreneurs.
Yah, guys! All over the year, promising entrepreneurs look to turn their vision into a business. Despites, they are often overflowing with tremendous ideas, energy and optimism, but not always they have a roadmap for the legal aspect involved in starting a business. Of course, it is also necessary to obtain business licenses and permits.
Depending on each business type and physical location, they may be required to have one or more business licenses or permits from the state, local or even federal level. And I work on the local level where entrepreneurs really have to begin to register their business to obtain a zoning and land use permit and, after that, a general business operation license.
So I made up my mind to put nine regional departments of my city on the map! And I believe that this decision provides great information about the administration to the citizens, particularly to those ones who want to open a new business and need to know more administrative aspects of running a company. It is very interesting to reveal some ways to offer services that solve citizens’ requests, improving access and interaction with them.
I’ll keep on with finding new ways to better share, encourage, lead, and motivate people from all around the world to appreciate different aspects of my city and then I strongly believe that my participation in Connect Live 2020 can generate new ideas to collaborate with Google Maps as a Local Guide.
