Kaldari is a small village situated near the Purandar fort. Purandar Fort is one of the major forts in Maharashtra. I love this village. Whenever I go there I buy fresh rice from local farmers.
Kaldari is surrounded by mountains, Dari- means valley in Marathi. I clicked some photographs when I visited there. I hope you like them:

Hi @Sohamupasani21
Really nice place
Is it called Kaldari because the sun does not rise here until 8 am while elsewhere the sunrise time is 6:30 am
and is this due to the valleys - Dari in Marathi?
I will visit here after the heavy rains stop.
Is the road from Bangalore highway better or from Saswad? to reach here?

Thank You sir for your comment.
Yes, as it lies just at the foot of the Purandar fort that’s why sunlight takes time to reach there. So you are absolutely right. And I always go through the Pune-saswad road. Banglore highway is mostly busy and we’ll have to cross the Kapurhol region where the condition of the road is not that good. So I’ll prefer to go through the Pune Saswad road.
