Not very far from La Paz city, there is a place of very strange geological formations. A very close translation for “El Valle de las Ánimas” is “Valley of the Souls” because some of those formations look like a petrified soul! Nevertheless “Ánima” (most likely: Soul) is a very poethical word.
The place is warm at day and very cold at night. There is not a single light when the sun goes down, so it’s very easy to get lost.
As one can see in the picture, the view was unique! Don’t get confused, it may seem like I’m behind a gothic cathedral, but those are the mountains!
