A picture says with sight what we can't say with words

Hi

My name is Omer Bitas, i’m 29 years old and I live In tel-Aviv Israel.

Adding photos is my favorite contribution to google maps. There’s just something about the ability to show someone else the magnificent sights that traveling our world summons you. it could be anything- from a beautiful milk swirl at your new favorite cafe, an awe inspiring museum hall that you wanted to visit for so long or a breathtaking 360 degree panorama of the busiest plaza in town. something about the idea that you can share what you see, and sometimes feel, with people that you will never meet or have met in your life and in that- you managed to emote or educate or knowledge them in any way, is a moment that makes me look at the great tools we have today at the palm of our hands, tools that actually makes the world a little better place to be part of.

In Hebrew the word of “Sight” is מראה (Mar-eh) which is also the same spelling as the Hebrew word for “Mirror”- I believe that the sight we choose to share are small glimpse to who we are and what we find beautiful and precious around us.

Hi @Omerbi ,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Just wanted to let you know that I will remove the Hebrew label from your post, because you are writing in English. You are more than welcome to write in Hebrew,or any other language, as you know, all languages are welcome on Connect but most official communications are written in English. One of the main goals of Connect — and Local Guides — is bringing people together no matter where they are from or what language they speak. We all have the same passion: share our world with others.

Thank you

I added the tag as one word in the post was in hebrew
