Hello @CharithaJB ,

Would you like to add more details to the photo like which device and shutter speed did you use for capturing the photo? It would be nice if you add more specifics about the photo.

Maybe you will be interested in this post: How to improve your nature photography. There are really great tips.

Thank you very much @ErmesT :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

I took these photos at the Kandawala lake in Sri Lanka. The location is shown in the map. The lake attracts many species of water birds like Pelicans, Ibis, Cormorants, Painted Storks and common Egrets. Since fishing is not allowed birds have plenty to eat for themselves.

Thanks for your detailed reply @CharithaJB . I would encourage you to write a post about Kandawala lake as judging from your photos it must be a beautiful nature reserve.

@AdamGT :slightly_smiling_face: The lake is surrounded by a walking path folks come to exercise because this area where the lake is at is a densely populated busy suburb of Colombo the largest city in Sri Lanka. It is a small lake fishing is not allowed and attracts many species of fish eating birds like Pelicans, Painted storks, Cormorants, common Egrets and Fishing eagles that come here to feed.

Hi @CharithaJB ,

Thanks a lot for your reply and provided specifics about the photo!

Your camera is one of the best that I know of Canon. Did you use a stand?

Thanks @CharithaJB , your photos are amazing!
