I recently visited Gurudwara Sadh Sangat, a famous prayer place for Sikhs in Visakhapatnam, near Gurudwara Junction bus stop (TPT Colony).
The Gurudwara is very peaceful and beautiful. It has a spacious hall for prayers. Prayers are held here like in other gurudwaras. Accommodation units are available within the complex. It’s well maintained. There’s a nice garden in front of the Gurudwara, where you can sit and relax. I visited the Gurudwara as a tourist, didn’t enter the shrine. Religious dress code to be followed to go inside the prayer hall.
Please note;
- The Gurudwara is open from 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Dress and behave respectfully when visiting.
- Wearing hats, shorts, capri, socks, and mini skirts is prohibited.
- It’s partially wheelchair accessible.
- Washrooms are available.
The Gurudwara is easy to reach from the railway station and the city bus stand. Public and private transportation is easily available. There is a bus stop nearby. It’s located in a residential colony in a good location with shops and places to eat nearby.
Cheers!
