I recently visited Mawa Ghat on the Padma River, and it was such a refreshing experience! 
From the ghat, we reserved a boat (tip: always bargain a little for the best price). and enjoyed a peaceful ride toward the Padma Bridge. The view from the floating boat was truly magical, especially during sunset, when the golden light danced beautifully on the river.

You can travel here by personal car or local transport, but local transport can be a bit of a hassle. I recommend using a personal or reserved car for a smoother trip.

If you park at Mawa Ghat, there’s a parking fee. For example, we arrived by bus and were charged 100 BDT for parking.

There are no proper stairs or platforms to enter the boats, which can be risky for women and elderly travelers, so be cautious while boarding.

Small stalls around the area sell traditional goods and snacks, but many charge almost triple the regular price. Always bargain smartly before purchasing anything.
After the ride, I treated myself to the famous Ilish fish with rice, ginger, and vorta—a must-try local dish! For dinner, mid-range restaurants along the riverbank are the best choice for good food at reasonable prices.
