T-Groyne (Locally pronounced T-Badh), one of the most peaceful places in Rajshahi. Many people come here to see the wonderful beauty of Padma river. The beauty of the place increases manifold during sunset. I was there on one such sunset.
T-Groyen is located behind Rajshahi Zoo. Originally it was made in the shape of the English letter T so it is called T-Groyen. It has been built quite a bit inside the Padma river.
The pure air of the river, unparalleled beauty, delicious food have given the place the status of excellence. Many people come here in the afternoon.
People of all ages, including children, visit here, especially on weekends and public holidays.
There are various food shops here. The most famous ones are Guava, Achar, Fuchka and fried potatoes etc. There are also various delicacies available here including roller ice cream, jar cake, pani puri. Apart from food shops, there are also children’s toy shops.
Boats are arranged here to enjoy the beauty of the river, many people rent boats and go around the river. Some go to the other side of the river, walk and talk. In the evening all the boats return to the bank. People come not only from Rajshahi but also from far away places. Many also come for picnics.
I visit T-Groyne almost every day, sometimes before sunset, sometimes after sunrise.
I like the place very much.
