A new way to help each other among travelers

Being part of the Local Guide program seems to me to be an excellent way to help travelers around the world to know the best activities to do in my country (Argentina). I love to travel too, and I use the reviews of other program members from other countries to organize my itineraries.

Local Guide means to me helping each other know what we are going to find in the places we plan to go to, as well as helping to know new places that are worthwhile. I love receiving thanks from the sites I review, even if they are constructive criticisms (everythin can be improved!).

I like photography, so I always take photos of what I like from the places I know, and I publish those photos in Local Guide. It’s great to see the visualizations that those photos get from people who want to know the sites beforehand. Local Guide means to me exploring, enjoying and expressing that enjoyment.

It is also incredible to receive opportunities such as traveling to another country to interact in person with other members of the program and exchange experiences.

My favorite places to visit anywhere in the world are bars and restaurants, I love food and drinks, so they are the things I contribute most (generally with good grades!)

In the future, I will continue to participate in this interesting program that motivates me to learn more, I hope to help more people with my opinions. I intend to publish more videos, since I only have one published. I also wish to contribute more with the opinions of the new updates of the application.

I hope the Local Guides program reaches more people who join this beautiful community.

Finnaly, I attach a picture of the North Argentina, where I was when I met the Local Guide program (in the picture I was in Salta, Cafayate).

@marina_korb Nice Vista.

Your post is unusual. I could get to read through.

But the first picture is cool. What kind of rock strata is that? It looks like chalk?

Thanks! What i only know is that it is a red sedimentary rock, it is a place full of fossils.

Great! My recommendations vary according to what type of photo you want to take, if it's from architecture, the surroundings of El Obelisco would be great with old-style hotels (very similar to Madrid) and the center of Recoleta (some people say that is similar to Paris), but if you are looking for photos of natural landscapes I recommend the forests, the rose garden, the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden and the interactive ecopark (ex zoo) all in Palermo, with free admission.

Hi @marina_korb ,

It seems that you’ve shared a post for your Connect Live 2020 application. Keep in mind, one of the requirements is to share your post on Local Stories, so I’ve moved your post there, thanks.

Feel free to have a look at the application guidelines and find some handy tips for creating an application post.
