This is patipukur railway station which is a northern station of KOLKATA CIRCULAR RAILWAYS. It is situated near patipukur fish market between KOLKATA terminal ( at South) and Dumdum junction ( at North). The circular railway operates the local trains in a single track ( up+ down) which is a great problem for the passengers as mostly the trains are late due to crossing. Often the express trains & goods train blocks the track. Most of the part of the single platform is without any shed. So people have to face difficulties in scorching ? sun

. Eastern Railway ( Sealdah division) is extremely careless towards this station which is clear as daylight because of no drinking water facilities or toilet facilities on the platform. The number of trains are also very less. So the frequency is extremely high. No train is operated during noon time and after 8 pm.
