A must for Marathi Theatre lovers.

Shivaji Mandir is a theatre auditorium located in Dadar (W), Mumbai, India. Opened on 3 May 1965 as the first closed auditorium in Dadar, the theater remains a landmark. My love for Marathi theatre started with this place. Easily accessible from Dadar station, presenting a play here is considered a privilege and honour.

The theatre still draws loyal crowds and plays often get HOUSE FULL shows. One will get all kinds of plays here from the plays for kids, romance, comedy and sometimes even controversial ones like "मी नथुराम गोडसे बोलतोय ". They maintain a strict silence policy and phones need to be shut down or in silent mode.

They have offline and online bookings, people buying stuff in person must pay in cash. The interval snacks like Vada Pav, Samosa etc are sourced piping hot from the legendary “Shri Krishna Wada Pav” of Dadar and make for a tasty filling.
