The fury of the Southwest Monsoon has subsided somewhat. We seized that opportunity to escape to the Malshej Ghat to enjoy the greenery and also the plentiful waterfalls.
The view of clouds drifting over the tip of the highland was mesmerizing. Also, the sight of a mighty upward draft forcing a flow reversal to some waterfalls was enchanting.
Revelers throng the place to soak into the several springs. Many kiosks sell roasted corn and some quick snacks. However, the pass is notorious for frequent landslides. Nevertheless, boundless joy stands the reward for that possible risk.
That view is breath taking and it must be better if you see it with your own eyes. I love the greenery on the rocks - it reminds me of spring when everything is fresh and light green.
Was it hard to reach the top? If I were there, I would definitely try the roasted corn too. I am a big fan of it.
The drive is not that difficult. The traffic was thin too.
However, the incessant rains have made many rocks lose & the danger of landslide is always lurking there.
Moreover, because of intense monsoon this year, the road has become dilapidated at places.
In any case, Google Maps was continuously there, announcing any possible road closures or detours, & that becomes a great relief.
The car was from another nearby state.
The car got smudged after an extended travel.
The driver took a risk by putting it in opposite direction lane, and washed that.
But then, to protect privacy, I had to smear the licence plate!
Haha so that’s the story @C_T I wondered why it was on the wrong side of the road but then I thought well they just wanted to take advantage of the waterfall and wash it for some reason!
