Sunday i went to See why there is so hype for this.. THE VESSEL…
The VESSEL, ( currently, Builders are thinking to change its name and they have asked Networkers to submit their entry ). It looks like beehives structure and sometimes it looks like giant Shawarma from some angle.
It is beautiful. It is set of stairs to the top. I reached here in the evening so that I can have a view of the sunset over the Hudson River. This is going to be to New York City what the Bean is to Chicago. But standing in the Vessel is a completely different experience from looking at it on the outside.
Looking up, I could see Hudson Yards’ glossy new towers jutting into the sky. At the bottom, you can choose to start at one of several staircases.
It took me about 15 minutes to walk to the top, and that was with plenty of stopping to take photos. There’s also an elevator, making it accessible to those who can’t climb stairs. From the top of the Vessel, you can look out over Hudson Yards’ remaining visible rail yards, toward the Hudson River
It was a bit windy at the top. The Vessel is open regardless of rain or bad weather. It’s open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Fact: The structure, which cost $200 million to build, was made in Italy and arrived in New York in six shipments. It features 154 interconnected staircases, nearly 2,500 steps, and 80 landings.
You can take Subway # 7 to reach here from 42nd Times sq station. Look for Number 7 subway. Stop name is 34 street Hudson Yard. It’s newly opened. It’s especially for this Hudson Yard area. Hudson Yards in New York City’s new $25 billion neighborhood, with office buildings, luxury residential towers, a seven-story shopping center, and a performing arts center ( The Shed). Buildings are 15 HY, the Shed, 55 HY, 30 HY, Vessel, 35 HY, 1 HY, The Spiral, and a seven-story luxury shopping center ‘Shops at Hudson Yard’ (HY=Hudson Yard).
The vessel will be bringing joy for many years to come and its gonna be one of the top tourist attraction in Big Apple. enjoy more pics
