My desire to explore and passion for traveling has encouraged me to contribute about lesser-known locations to Google. Due to living in Europe, I can experience diverse countries, cultures, the food, and the local life very closely while visiting them. I often prefer traveling to locations that are not the usual overrated tourist spots. The Alps are my all-time favorite weekend getaway for hiking and relaxation. A place is defined by its food, the markets, and historical buildings. When I visit new cities, I make sure to visit to capture the food (whether in restaurants or street food), the sightseeing places and the different experiences I gather along the way. These experiences make way for contributions through photo uploads and detailed reviews to the Google maps.
Google maps is an excellent tool to find directions to the place that I am visiting and to get an overview of the area surrounding the location. But the whole idea of personalization and adding a human touch to the application is done by the local guides. Every time I visit a specific location, I experience the place from my perspective because I have lived a few moments there. This experience is different for every person visiting the place. The manifestation of these personal experiences is what makes Google maps ideal and at the same time reliable for planning your travel.
I would rather call myself a trailblazing sage, who enjoys contributing to Google through my photos-videos-reviews about the place, its restaurants, local life and exploring travel options. I can add new places to google maps and also suggest edits to the existing places. Before visiting any place, I primarily rely on reviews given by the previous visitors. For example, daily life becomes simple because of honest contributions from the local people of the city. I have moved to a new country and life is not so easy due to a different language. I select doctors and my driving school purely based on the reviews and ratings it had. Thanks to the authentic reviews and the translation feature, I landed at the best and most cost-efficient driving school in my city.
In the era of globalization and an increasing need to save time on daily chores, it is my passion and primary objective to help people to save time and find the right help for their needs. Being a full-time employee, I get less time to do tasks after working hours. With correct details and reviews, I am able to choose wisely and save decision-making as well as waiting time.
