A Lovely Lao Dinner with Friends at Sabaidee Vientiane

Hey Guides!

I recently had a lovely dinner at Sabaidee Vientiane with three of my friends, and it turned into one of those simple evenings that I really enjoyed.

There were three of us, and we decided to order five different dishes, together with Coke, as you can see in my photos. We wanted to try a little of everything and share the dishes together.

My personal favourites were the Lao papaya salad and the traditional Lao bamboo shoot dish. I really enjoyed the taste of both. The flavours felt traditional and satisfying, especially the bamboo shoot dish, which was something I was happy to try.

I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt comfortable and welcoming, and we could sit together, enjoy our food and have a good conversation without feeling rushed. The friendly service also made us feel welcome throughout our dinner.

What surprised me was the price. For all three of us, we spent about US$25 in total, including five dishes and Coke. For me, that was an acceptable and reasonable price for a dinner shared with friends.

Sometimes, the best dining memories are not about expensive restaurants. They are simply about good food, traditional flavours, friendly service and good friends around the table.

I was happy to discover Sabaidee Vientiane and enjoy a little taste of Laos with my friends. I recommend trying Lao papaya salad or traditional bamboo shoot dishes. That is very yummy, and you will go there again and again.
