Why I love being a Local Guide:
Google Maps has been a very different way for me to interact with our global community. In a world that props up curated images and marketed messages, it’s nice to share and read the every day moments you can find on Maps. This is why I enjoy reviewing spaces that leave a positive impact on my day. In a world that demands our praises and fears punishment in reviews, I hope my honest, transparent, and information driven responses are helpful to connect others with places and businesses that have touched my life in the “in-between”, the space between the Instagram images.
Having spent 3 months living abroad with my wife working for a coffee roaster, we have both sought out many coffee dates. I would say this makes finding coffee worth traveling for my primary and favorite destination to review and in the rare opportunity add to Maps! Unfortunately it also enhances the optics of being a coffee snob, but we will leave that for another discussion 
Many thanks for the memories, hopefully my kids will stumble on a review of mine years from now, right when I need to boost the “cool dad” factor.
