A lot of "Mexico(s)"

Did you know that millenials spend 44% of their monthly income in food? (guilty  )

I became a foodie 3 or 4 years ago, my first contribution in Local Guides was a hot dog from my hometown Hermosillo, Sonora in the north of Mexico, it’s something typical and now popular internationally, if you’re ever there you must try them! P.S. We also have the best meat and seafood, I actually only eat red meat when I’m in my state. We have awesome beaches too, like San Carlos.

My first pic (I try not to use single use packaging anymore)

I love to contribute in Local Guides, Im glad it’s helpful for other people as it is for me when I’m traveling locally or internationally looking for great places to eat or visit. Also you have more fun when you do things that locals do. I believe it’s also helpful for the owners if they are looking for feedback about their place.

The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide is get to know my own country and of course share it on this incredible platform :star2: . I think It’s important to share even the small cities and the non tourist places too, so more mexicans travel nationally. My goal is to visit every state (so far i’ve been in 18 out of 32).

A funny story was when I travel for the first time to the south of Mexico, I arrive to Mérida and went to have dinner with an australian friend and her mom that were visiting. It was a restaurant of typical food of Yucatán and I was checking the menu but I didn’t know the dishes and neither some words and ingredients! My friend’s mom looked at me confused and asked: You are mexican and you don’t know what’s on the menu? I said yes I am, but I come from the other side of the country, the food is so different!

Everytime I go somewhere new I realized that Mexico is such a rich country and we are so different everywhere so it’s like there are a lot of Mexicos. Have you ever been to one Mexico? Does this happen also in your county?
