Hi everyone there! My name is Walid and I am from Tunisia (North Africa). My journey as a Local guide has started since 3 years during a visit to Norwich, England. Since then, I have started contributing to the community wherever I visit a new place. I love sharing pictures of new places I visit as that will give a clear idea to people who may visit the same places or they just want to discover or explore the world even without travelling. I enjoy answering questions about accessibility as those questions are of high importance for people to decide. Being a local guide is not just a matter of posting your photos or reviewing or answering questions, it is about being honest and wanting to help. Users may not care about who you are or what you do, but they care about what you give and how you can help them. Giving wrong information or not being honest may harm a user and make his/her journey a nightmare! So, it is not a matter of gaining points to move to the next level, but it is a matter of credibility either for you as a local guide or Google as a service provider. We are living on the same planet, so helping and knowing each other and spreading peace is very important to humanity. When you are a local guide, you help people from all the world, people whom you don’t know or ever met.
That is how I see myself as a Local Guide and how I hope that my journey will continue and I continue helping others and being helped.
For those who are reading, have a lovely time.
Love from Tunisia.
Walid
