A journey to the Sitakunda - Khoiyachora Waterfalls

This is a part of my Sitakunda trip but the place about Khoiyachora Waterfall is under the Mirshorai area. This was my first outdoor activity after the lockdown of Covid-19. I hope I will share my whole journey with different titles/posts.

Khoiyachora Waterfall:

Khoiyachora Waterfall is one of the biggest Waterfalls in Bangladesh. It is situated in a green hill track area. It has 9 big falls and some other small falls. The big 9 falls are like different steps of adventure. Khoiyachora Waterfall is called the ‘Queen of Waterfalls’ in Bangladesh.
This place is located 4.2 kilometers far from the Dhaka-Chottogram Highway. From this distance, about 1 kilometer is able to drive by private car or other small vehicles but rest rout is only walkable. Here walkable means complete tracking with the slippy trail, water, canal, and jungle passing.

Our story:
Our Journey started at Sitakunda Bazar. We hired a private car to reach Khoiyachora. As we mentioned it is 4.2 Kilometers from the highway. About 3.5 kilometers distance we had to cover by walking. But the day was very shiny.

Like new others, we also faced a lot of trouble like slippy path, too muddy canal side, slippy bamboo bridge coz it was my first time hiking to a big waterfall.

Besides these troubles, I also enjoyed my hiking when I saw the freshwater flow, big stones on the route, green jungle view, and overall the crowd of thousands of tourists. The day was a holiday that is why the tourist crowd increased so high. If you don’t like big crowds during a hicking or exploring just avoid holiday for traveling. The trail or hiking path to the falls has some rest zone and hotels to refresh your mind.

When you hear the big sounds of the waterfalls you can sure that you have reached very near of the falls. You will notice people shouting, enjoying and wonderful long waterfalls after reaching the foot side of the first step of the falls. This first step bigger than the other 8 big steps. Maximum tourist exits their journey after reaching there. But the main adventure began when we reached the first step. Its amazing view and satisfaction also. But can’t miss the chance to see other steps of the falls which is a big challenge also.
Therefore we started our walk to reach the second steps over the most dangerous steady hills. It was so slippy and very hard to control myself. But the target to reach others step forced me to go ahead. When we reached the top of the first step, wow! It was mindblowing to see nature’s wonders. The second step is only 2 minutes far from the top of the first step waterfalls.

You must say, Another big wow, to see the second step with a 3 layers waterfalls view. I understood that When we win a new step we discovered a life of amazing, wonders, and true natures. But we were ready to back without discovering other steps and ended the exploring due to making another hard hicking for the back.

It needs the adventure to discover the world to discover yours, It was my thought at those times. The freshness, the success, and the enjoyment of experience make a life fulfilled.
Usually, our journey stopped after reaching our hotels. But the scenario and experience keeping me always in nature in exploring.
Thanks, @Mohammadalauddin Bhai for supporting me on this whole tour and sure I am willing to make more exploring with you. Here is my list of Google maps created during my whole Sitakunda trip.

@DeniGu @InaS I hope you like this travel post.

Hi @ShafiulB ,

Wow, the area around Khoiyachora Waterfall looks so green! I can just feel how fresh the air must be there. Definitely a great destination!

The path does seem challenging, but I agree with you that the view at the end was worth it. Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful waterfall closer to us on Connect; it is truly a bucket-list experience.

We had a lot of trekking on this travel. The roads were in a very dangerous zone due to heavy rains the day before the travel.

But the fun of traveling with you is different. We ate a lot of local food from Sitakunda. The fun/testy of each food was different.

Thank you very much @ShafiulB for nice post presentation with us.
