A Historic Treat with a Global Twist: Kuremal's Wimbledon Kulfi in Old Delhi!

Recently, I found myself exploring the newly opened Omaxe Chowk in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. While the mall itself is a great modern addition to the historic heart of the city, my main highlight was visiting the legendary Kuremal Kulfi store.

Kuremal has been serving some of the best traditional stuffed fruit kulfis in India for decades, but on this visit, I tried something incredibly unique: their specially curated Wimbledon Kulfi!

The Wimbledon Experience :strawberry::tennis:

Since Wimbledon is synonymous with iconic traditions (like strawberries and cream!), I was super curious to see how a heritage Indian brand would interpret this in the form of kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream).

The Flavor: It is a brilliant take on Wimbledon’s iconic “Strawberries and Cream.” It has the rich, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture of traditional old Delhi kulfi, perfectly balanced with the sweet and slightly tart flavor of luscious, fresh strawberries

The Presentation: As you can see in the photo, it is a beautiful blend of rich cream and vibrant pink strawberry hues. It is served on a traditional kulfi stick, making it super easy to eat on the go while window shopping through the air-conditioned aisles of Omaxe Mall

About the Omaxe Chowk Outlet :department_store:

For anyone who loves Old Delhi food but struggles with the heat or the crowds in the narrow lanes, this outlet is a blessing.
Ambience: It is located inside the air-conditioned comfort of Omaxe Chowk, making it a perfect pitstop.

Accessibility: The mall is fully wheelchair accessible (:wheelchair_symbol:) with elevators and smooth pathways, which is a huge plus for inclusive local guiding!

Other Must-Tries: If you visit, don’t forget to try their classic Stuffed Mango or Jamun Kulfi as well.

Regarding a place that has a global connection, though not directly, here’s a shop in Pune called Ardeshir Cold Drinks, who have been making and selling pop drinks even before Coca-Cola came into existence.

So happy to see :face_savoring_food: Yummy kulfi from Kuremal’s Kulfi outlet.

Kulfi has always been my all time favourite dessert, and I’m already looking forward to try their Wimbledon Kulfi :face_savoring_food: (Strawberries & Cream)

One line in your picture truly caught my attention:

“Kulfi is not an ice cream. Kulfi is Kulfi.”

How true is that:heart: Kulfi has its own rich taste, texture, tradition and identity, there’s simply no comparison.

@AjitThite Dada, this is surely going to be one of the sweetest highlights of our meet up :heart_hands: and a moment we’ll cherish together

A heartfelt thanks to @Manishhh for introducing us to Kuremal’s Kulfi.

Looking forward to celebrating this delicious experience with everyone:blush::ice_cream:

I hope I get to savour the famous Wimbledon Kulfi too:crossed_fingers::strawberry:
