A Hidden Village: Huánuco, Perú

Hi, it´s my first time posting and I´d like to share some photos I took when I was in “Villa Paraíso”, a hidden village in Huánuco, Perú. It´s such a quiet place with friendly people that I visit every 4 - 5 years.

Hi @JuanTorre

Nice photos but I didn’t see much of the “Villa Paraíso” village. Is really that well hidden lol? Can you show and tell us more about the village and perhaps the people? Why do you visit every 4 to 5 years?

Hi @JuanTorre ,

Welcome to Connect!

Thanks for sharing with us this beautiful hidden place! It looks natural and very clean and I am sure that there are not so many tourists which is great.

It would be great if you add more information to the post. I recommend you to take a look at the following articles: Your guide to Connect and How to choose a topic for your Connect post which are very helpful for posting on Connect. I would like to invite you to introduce yourself here: Introduce Yourself - July 2020.

Please note that I moved your post to the Travel section where Local Guides share photo from places that they’ve visited.

Hello @AdamGT . I t´s hidden since only local people can tell you about the place, no one can say exactly how to go there (if I´m correct, this point is where the village is located). You will not find internet or telephone signal, for this you have to go down to a small village called “Puente Durand” where you´ll only find 1-2 small stores and a small house that serves as a medical post. Back in Villa Paraiso, there is a small bakery that sells simple bread for the local people and recollects coffee grains.

My grandmother used to live there. One of her sons still lives there and I visit him every time I am in Huánuco (every 4 - 5 years)

Something curious: The white house in the photo used to be a public school, now it´s a forgotten house.

Hope this may have responded your question :slightly_smiling_face:
