A heartfelt look back at Harties Trip, South Africa

My name is Thuto and I reside in Limpopo province, South Africa. Most of my contributions on Google maps is based on the experience and interesting point I have come across at the places I visited. I would like to share with you a recent trip I took, which left me fulfilled and recharged.

Five months ago I found myself with baby on the lap, toddler on my side, all this after a long week at work. I was scrolling through Google maps to find a place to hide-out to just so I can come back with renewed energy to take on my daily responsibilities. Ah! To my relief I found a place named Hartebeespoort, situated in North West province about four hours drive as estimated by the app. What attracted me to it was the variety of activies one can get up to when that side.

I picked about a handful of activies for me and my husband to enjoy which included quad bikes, romantic outdoor picnic, boat cruise with 3 course lunch served on board, a couples spa and visit the market. Google maps was the star tool in enabling us to choose activities not far from each other and also not far from where we would be staying. Getting the directions was now easy as I had starred the places as my favourites. We managed to do all this in a 3 day trip

The last day of the trip ended on a high note literally as we were transported to the mountain top through cable cars running at a steady speed on steel cables. This enable us to see the whole area of Hartebeespoort including the dam from the top of the mountain . It was also where we bought our souvenirs such as red bags, leather sandals, branded- proudly South African made t-shirts for the kids and some toys.

Our second last spot was '‘Little Paris’ a restaurant with an Italian theme from the outside, interior and the menu. To seal the trip we went for a photoshoot right next to Little Paris and… how we were set up as if we were really in Paris was just magical! All the places I visited I rated them and added most of the beautiful snapshots I had taken. Browse through the pictures and be inspired, I hope you will enjoy the place even more than I did , if you decide to come!

Thanks for taking your time to read on my experience, I truly appreciate.
