Hello everyone! 
Today, I wanted to share a heartwarming visit my family and I made recently to Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Forked River (Lacey Township), New Jersey 
.
While planning an itinerary for visiting family, I came across this unique sanctuary. Unlike a traditional zoo, Popcorn Park carries out the noble mission of providing a lifelong refuge for abandoned, injured, exploited, elderly, or rescued wildlife, farm animals, exotic species, and birds. 
It is not a sophisticated zoo or anything like it but it provides something I value a lot more, a true cause to make the world a better place. 
The refuge stays operational through very reasonable admission fees, gift shop purchases, and community donations 
. Despite its modest size, the entire facility is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and engaging for visitors of all ages, hosting various fundraising events throughout the year. 
One of the most touching aspects of our visit was seeing how local community groups utilize this space. Many organizations coordinate outings here for children and adults with physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges. It brought me immense joy to see them enjoying the animals in such a safe, accessible, and tranquil environment. The dedication of these community programs is truly inspiring. 
Accesibility in action is what I loved the most about this place!
Our visit was a wonderful reminder of the power of compassionate spaces. I’m already planning future photowalks and family outings to similar spots!
