A half-day trip to Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

In May 20,2023, I made a half-day trip to Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

The purpose of the trip is to see the winning works exhibition of Yokosuka Photo Contest 2022 held at Kosuka Bayside Stores. I took the Keikyu Train from Shinagawa Station and got off at Shoiri Station.

The time I arrived at Shoiri Staion was 13:40, so I decided to have lunch. I used Google Map and found MIKASA CAFÉ. I ordered Navy Curry Rice for lunch and it was spicy and very delicious.

After the lunch, I moved to Kosuka Bayside Stores.

The winning works exhibition of Yokosuka Photo Contest 2022 was held at community room located in the 5th floor. My photo of the legendary battleship Mikasa was also on display.

After seeing the photo exhibition, I also visited the Yokosuka Museum of Modern Heritage”Former Tybodier House” in Verny Park.

Former Tybodier House was the official residence of Jules César Claude Tybodier, deputy head of the Yokosuka Arsenal Works. It was built around 1869 and was dismantled in 2003. It was relocated and restored in 2021, and renovated as the Yokosuka Modern Heritage Museum.

Many beautiful roses were planted around the former Tybodie House and the Verny Park.

After walking around the Verny Park, I visit MIKASA CAFÉ again and ordered Yokosuka Cherry Sauce Tart Cake. The taste and the arrangement was so elegant.

If you have a opportunity to visit Japan, I will recommend you to visit Yokosuka City and having lunch and sweets at Mikasa Cafe.

Congratulations to winning the award for your photo @preceramic . What a trip and I see you have some interesting culinary experience too.

I hope I can go back to Japan soon. The last time I visited there was 2019, before COVID-19.

Hi @preceramic I love to cook and eat curry with my own recipe developed from the internet. Japanese curry always be my favorite recipe. Borobudur is so good, hope you could visit it someday
