Hi all…

EDIT: Due to poor response/request, I am concluding this topic with 1post.

This post is Part 1 of 2; here, we will discuss the Registration & Scheduling of Covid Vaccination, according to the Govt. of India directive.

The next post, Part 2 of 2 will contain the Hospital formalities.

Incidentally, here is another important post published by @NareshDarji as Where to go for vaccination?

I seriously request you to have a look - regards.

Is there any similar method in your country? Can you brief us?

I have published my experience previously through the post Here. This post is based on the experience of my wife & my personal driver, which was assisted by me.

Though the process is specific to the government of India, there should be a similar method all over the world.

A. Registration:

What you need: You just need only a mobile phone & the Adhar Card (Citizen Identification Card) - very simple. Presently, persons above the age of 45 are eligible for vaccination. One can opt for a paid or free service. Using the following URL, an Indian Adhar Cardholder can get this benefit.

The Link to reach the self-registration site (India).

https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/

The procedure:

  • Step -1: Use the above URL to reach the site. (Screenshot -1)
  • Step -2: Once you open the site, you will be asked to LOG-IN using OTP or ‘Arogya Setu’ (A Health App by the Govt. of India)

& You will reach the registration window. (Screenshot -2)

  • Step -3: Once logged in, you will be given 5 options to select the ID proof document (we have selected Aadhar card). (Screenshot -3)
  • In any case, all fields are mandatory & hance to be filled in.

  • Step -4: After filling in all the fields, click the button “Register” (Screenshot -4).

B. Schedulin****g:

  • Step -5: The next screen will display the Account Details, along with the option to “Schedule” the appointment with the Hospital. (Screenshot -5)

  • Step -6: The scheduling screen starts with the search option, based on the district or the Pin Code; we provided the Pincode (Screenshot -6).
  • Step -7: The ‘Search’ result showed a list of Hospitals around our area; this page also gave the availability status with Green Dots across the dates (Screenshot -7).

Note: You have 2 options: You can select free service or a paid service; queue should be expected at locations with free service, whereas the hospitals that charge a meagre amount of INR 250/= (fixed by Govt. of India) will be more organised.

  • We selected 2nd April.
  • Step -8: The next screen will ask you to confirm your preference as ‘Forenoon’ or ‘Afternoon’; (Screenshot -8).

Caption: Screenshot - 6, 7 & 8.

  • Once we confirm this selection, we will be provided with a printable confirmation status, which has to be produced in the hospital, when you visit (Screenshot -9). Soft copy is only needed to be shown at the hospital.
  • The final screen gives you an option to add up to 4 members per mobile or one can log out (Screenshot -10).
  • If you prefer to add another person for vaccination, by clicking the “Add More”, you will reach the ID Card option (Step -03) to repeat all the steps.

Hope this post will make your registration simpler.

The hospital formalities & procedures will be published in the next post.

I have also added your post “Where to get vaccinated?” in the main post;

This post is very much in detail. Thank you for tagging me here.

In my area, even walk-in facility is available. Candidates can simply walk-in to the designated hospital and they will be registered by the local authorities followed by immediate vaccination.

Thanks for your valuable comments, dear @Smita_Patil

Yes, that reminded me of walk-in hospitals; do you know how to find out the availability/location of such hospitals?
I can add that data in the main post.
