A good dish photo is sometimes worth gold!

Most of the time I review restaurants. This is also because of my job in communications and PR (which is also described sometimes as the wining&dining industry) I have to eat out frequently. Sometimes these social gatherings tend to be boring, so a short review can break the monotony for me.

The accompanying dish photo gives the review a lot more context. And I know from my own experience it is very practical and fast for anybody who is looking for something good (local!) to eat, and is in a hurry. To confess, I feel also a little bit of a gourmet when I do this.

I like to try different kinds of food and usually I try new restaurants. Because I live and work in central Istanbul, there is always something new to try. It is also this dynamism of this bustling and never sleeping city that I want to convey to new comers .

Most of the time my most successful photos are of local food. So, I think I strike a chord in people and they go and try it for themselves…

Here are a couple of recent photos, I hope you like them and who knows, may be sometime you try them?

I believe a job like yours is interesting. Maybe I didn’t get why it sometimes feels ‘boring’ for you but I loved the photo! Being able to review restaurants is a big help for busy people looking for nice places to dine in after a long and stressful day! And for a country famous for its incredibly delicious cuisine, you’re really offering an amazing help to tourists and new comers!
