Most interesting place i’ve ever been! There is no one else but left broken stone houses!Kaya Köy had different names during the history. The village is so close to Fethiye Ölüdeniz. So we decided to see this ghost town. My husband and my daughter liked to climb the village. You can find it by using Google maps.
This village from the Greek period was abandoned with the exchange in 1923 and the Turks started to live here. However, when the Turks could not get used to it, migrations were made to different parts of the country and the village was left to its fate. With the 1957 Fethiye Earthquake, the village was heavily damaged and has not been repaired again. When you visit Kayaköy, you get the feeling that a ghost is walking around the city.
Do not forget to wear your sneakers, hat, use your sun protection cream and take an umbrella if the weather is hot!
There are several small stylish cafeterias in the village.
