The Karde beach near Dapoli in Maharashtra offers refreshing relief from daily routine. An hours detour from the Mumbai Goa highway via Dapoli takes you there.
The winding road passes through thickly wooded and scenic hills and valleys.

The soft sand of the beach is superbly pleasant to walk.

The sea recedes so much at low tide, and that exposes a wide strip of sand. It then that turns into a cricket ground!

Now, the place offers some exciting water sports too.

Not content with the thrill in the seawater? Then, you can enjoy a sail in the sky!

And then the camel ride is also there to offer some more fun.

But finally, watching the setting sun offers the ultimate comfort!

This place looks really cool! Do you often go there to enjoy evenings? Is it near your place? Are there many tourists visiting as well? It looks like there are many activities to do. Have you tried the parachute above the sea? What do you enjoy most here?

I go to that place once or twice in a year. The travel time from my home totals six hours approx as there are three mountain passes en route.
Nevertheless, many tourists frequent the spot.

I have tried a parachute above the see. However, not here.
I enjoy a boat ride occasionally. However, walking on the extensive stretch and hang on for the sunset remain my favourite activities.

The parachute was pulled by a multi-utility vehicle (a variant of Jeep)

I didn’t ride the camel. However, some kids did enjoy that.

You are right @vijayparadkar . There are many beautiful beaches in Konkan. Now because of the improved coastal roadway and by the addition of many new bridges on that, reaching there has become much easier.
