A Decade Together: A University Student’s Perspective on the Bangladesh Local Guides Celebration Meetup 2024
As a university student and volunteering with Bangladesh Local Guides since 2019, one of the highlights of my journey so far was attending the Bangladesh Local Guides 10 Years Celebration Festival 2024.
Not that this unique opportunity lasted a decade of it not only an important accomplishment but also provided important insights and connections that speak directly to me as a young member of the community.
From the time I entered the colourful atmosphere of the event, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Connecting with fellow local guides from a diverse backgrounds, I participated in discussions ranging from trail mapping to innovative ways to support local businesses.
These discussions were not only enlightening but also a platform for sharing experiences and learning from each other. The addition of mini games and idea sharing sessions was the highlight of the conference for me. These activities made the event fun and interesting, created a sense of community and fostered meaningful discussion among the attendees As a university student, I enjoyed participating in scholarly discussions and fun activities inside, creating a well-rounded experience looking at a wide range of interests Apart from hosting the event, the event was enhanced by highlighting the rich culinary heritage of Bangladesh through local venues on the added sweetness.
As someone who is interested in experiencing different cultures and experiences, I found this part of the event to be very enjoyable, creating a sense of community and kinship among the participants. Adding an inspiring element to the event, the presence and participation of Connect Moderator @SoniaK , Community Founders @MahabubMunna & Senior Community Advisors like @Designer_Biswajit @SirajulAzad @AbdusSattar heightened my interest in the future of our community
In short, the Bangladesh Local Guides Festival Gathering 2024 was more than a gathering; It demonstrated the power of community, teamwork and shared purpose. As a University student, I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful event and look forward to contributing to the growth and well-being of our community in the years to come.
