A day out to Whitstable

It is very good to be able to have the trait of wanting to travel. Now it’s especially important to be safe and cautious now away but not to be afraid to venture out. Being in England for a few years and being stuck inside for an entire year I did not care when I since but as it was sunny and always hidden gems everywhere. Randomly picking a spot to go me and my partner went to Whitstable. Booking a day off work we went!

Within 2 hours we were there! Felt so quick and easy to get there. Upon arrival, we aimlessly walked around until we saw our first sign postage which leads us to the seaside.

The smell of the sea and fish and chips was the first and best impression. It had also a pride flag hung up high and the LGBT+ inclusive youth club is so vital and very sweet to see.

Whilst the beach was side was not your typical beachside it was great. We got to view the ocean slowly get further and further up the shoreline. At some point later on in the evening when I looked back at it - where we were sunbathing it had been all water by then.

Whilst it was quite busy and lacked places to drink I think we struck gold with this place called the smack inn. For my review see:

Unfortunately, not all services were that good as one nice looking pub by the ocean had awful service. Usually, I’m not too worried as the sun was beaming onto us and we were on holiday but when it takes a total of 45 minutes from setting down, getting one Gin & Tonic each and the bill. It is a bit ridiculous.
Having booked a boat trip only made the wait feel worrisome. Being on the 30 min boat trip was so nice as we were one of the captains was easy to communicate with regarding Whitstable. The ride was so cheap and lovely. Definitely on a sunny day!

We had to walk around as much as we could and see the small shops and corners of Whitstable! A small but popular shop was this fish and chip shop which had constantly a queue. And yes - we queued up and, got our delicious food and ate it while seating near the ocean.

We had time to see the castle before we left and see this massive old cinema which Wetherspoon had made to a nice pub.

We left tanned, satisfied and ready to explore more of England.
