Hi,
Local guide community friends today who am I, I will discuss with you about one of the tourist areas of Bangladesh.
That is, the hanging bridge of Rangamati district.
The suspension bridge is located 5 km from Rangamati district town. This 335 feet long bridge built over Kaptai Lake is the main attraction of Rangamati district. There is no person who has not seen the hanging bridge (Jhulonto setu) while traveling in Rangamati district. This bridge is called the symbol of Rangamati. I was in Rangamati district for two days. On the second day I went to the hanging bridge across the Kaptai lake. I read about this bridge in a book when I was a child. Which I actually saw now.
I think, people who are thirsty for travel should visit Rangamati district. If you do not visit Rangamati district, you will miss out on enjoying many natural beauties of Bangladesh. Rangamati district is one of the tourist hotspots of Bangladesh. The iconic landmark of Rangamati district is the hanging bridge.
The colorful suspension bridge connects the isolated hill towns on both sides. Standing on the hanging bridge, one can enjoy the beautiful view of Kaptai Lake. Moreover, while moving over the bridge, its jolt creates a distinct vibration. On the bridge there are tribal communities. We have some local guides go inside their villages to see the way of life of the tribals. Centered around the hanging bridge, small markets of the tribals have been built on both sides of it. Many handicrafts of the tribals are available here. To attract tourists, there is a swing on one side of the bridge to entertain children. Motorized boats are available here to visit Kaptai lake. The rent will be 250 to 300 taka. The tourism corporation has to pay a fee of 20 rupees per person to visit this bridge. I didnât want to pay 20 rupees. After asking me for 20 rupees after giving a slip to the tourist corporation, I paid 20 rupees.
Transportation:
There are various types of buses and transport to reach Rangamati from Dhaka. These buses and transports leave for Rangamati in the morning and night. There are two types of buses AC and Non AC available. AC bus fare is 1000 to 1500 taka and non AC bus fare is 700 to 900 taka.
Hanging bridge can be reached by CNG or auto rickshaw from Tablachhari or Banrupa in Rangamati town. CNG fare from Tablachhari will be 60 to 70 taka and from Bankrupt the fare will be 140 to 150 taka.
We come and go from our resort to the reserve board.
â â The fare may be higher or lower depending on the season.
Thanks
Gazi Salauddin
