The Early Morning Chill
The day started with an early alarm at 5:30 AM. As I stepped out, the morning air was crisp and freezing, sending a slight shiver down my spine. My trusty bike was my first companion, carrying me from Bopal to Gota Circle, the anticipation of the day’s adventure already warming my spirits.
Road Trip Vibes
Carpooling turned out to be the highlight of the initial journey. Joining Harsh Darji, Ankit, Bhayani Naitik, and Kiran Kher, we transformed a simple road trip into a fun-filled connection fest. More cars joined our convoy, each filled with Local Guides buzzing with excitement.
A Pit Stop and Unexpected Breakfast
Surprisingly, we couldn’t resist stopping near Shankus Water Park for a quick bite, despite knowing a breakfast awaited us at the venue. It was one of those spontaneous moments that make road trips memorable!
Regional Science Center: A World of Wonders
Arriving at the Regional Science Center was like stepping into a different universe. With over 50 Local Guides gathered, the energy was electric! The center boasted five fascinating galleries:
- Human Anatomy Gallery
- Dinosaur Gallery
- Hydroponics Gallery
- Optical Gallery
- Nobel Prize Gallery
The Tilt Room and 5D Theater were absolute showstoppers! Imagine dinosaur sculptures coming to life and scientific principles dancing before your eyes.
Lunch, Quizzes, and Connections
Bansi Kathiyawadi restaurant served up not just delicious food, but also an engaging online quiz hosted by @NareshDarji . Learning about the Local Guides Connect Platform while enjoying a scrumptious meal? Now that’s multitasking done right!
The Majestic Rani Ki Vav
The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rani Ki Vav, was nothing short of breathtaking. Our guided tour revealed layers of historical richness and architectural brilliance. Each carving seemed to whisper stories of centuries past.
Sunset, Music, and Memories
As the day wound down, we were treated to a magical sunset and an impromptu musical performance by one of the Local Guide. The prize distribution added an element of friendly competition, reminding us that this was more than just a trip—it was a community.
The Journey Home
Returning with Ankit bhai, Harsh Darji, Bhayani Naitik, Kiran Kher, and few other LG’s we shared a delightful dinner of traditional bhakri shak. The warmth of the day wasn’t just from the Gujarat sun, but from the incredible people around me.
Gratitude and Reflections
A heartfelt thanks to @NareshDarji and his team for orchestrating this unforgettable experience. This wasn’t just a meetup; it felt like a family picnic, filled with learning, laughter, and connections.
