Internet cafes are popular in China. They are nice places where you can sit and relax while drinking something and entertaining yourself by playing games or watching videos on internet. In general, you have access to a PC with headsets and keyboard, all made for professional gaming too.
A really beautiful game to try here is Pao Pao, a game in which you have to fight with an opponent by using bubbles in order to destroy obstacles, gain some additional powers by catching various items and finally, be faster and smarter than your opponent so that you cath him with the bubble. The explanation is really simplistic and this is just one of the various games available. Internet cafes are really nice to have some time with your friends: Chinese people really enjoy these places and I have enjoyed it too.
Thanks for sharing! I loved reading this post. Internet cafes were very popular as well when I lived in Beijing. I remember that next to my university there were quite a few 网吧. : )
Do you like spending your time there? How long have you been living in Shanghai?
Have stayed in Shanghai for two days, now am traveling to other areas of China (mostly Hunan). I am planning to return to Shanghai the last days of my trip.
This is so great to learn @user_not_found ! : ) How is your trip going so far? It must be quite hot there right now?
Hunan province is a very beautiful province. I visited there twice and totally loved it. Have you ever heard of the Zhangjiajie mountains also known as the “Avatar” movie mountains?
Yeah @TsekoV it’s hot but this doesn’t stop me to enjoying China. Always wanted to go to China and now I’m here with Chinese friends: I think I will go here also in the future other times with them. Never heard of those mountains but have looked for them and they are about 3 hours from here.
I am sure that once you visit China, you will always want to come back, @user_not_found . This is my way of living at have proven for quite many years. I lived there for 3 years and went there on different occassion. This is a place that I definitely call home, hehe.
I am looking forward to hearing more of your Chinese stories, the places you visit, the people you meet. Every step there is a journey! Hunan is also one definitely beautiful region! : )
