I am new to Connect. How do I go about finding if there is a local meet up in my area? 
Also, how do we reply to someone’s post? I don’t see a reply button… must we just tag them, and then it will show as replied. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can check if there are meet ups in your area by visiting this website: https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup
You can also organize your own there.
I also recommend looking for Local Guides groups/pages based in your city or country in social networks you use, as they usually let everyone know about the meet ups.
As of the reply, you select the blue button that says “Add a comment”, and you mention them with an @ and then their username so they receive a notification, like you will when I send this reply.

@Jesi Thank you so much for the help! Very kind of you. I think I am slowly figuring it out. 
Do you know if they have an app for this? I’ve tried searching for one, with no luck. It would be nice to have this more accessible on my phone. If not, it’s ok. Just thought I would ask.

I’m glad you’re figuring it out.
Sadly, there isn’t an app. If you have Google Chrome in your phone you can sort of make it an app by tapping on the three dots on the upper right corner, and then selecting “Add to homescreen”. However, using this “app” has some performance issues, at least for many Android users, and doesn’t make it more accessible so I rather just use Connect directly through the website. You might want to try the app though, and see how it works for you.
